Susy Payne

Susy PayneSusy Payne trained at Southampton University and has been writing and directing drama, dance and fitness programmes at the Arc in Caterham since it first opened in 2007. Susy is also the Director of the Senior Performing Arts School at the Leatherhead Theatre, winning the Nan Nutall Award in 2011 for ‘Most Promising Youth Theatre’ at the all-winner’s drama festival in Guernsey. Dance Principal at The Big Act Theatre School, Lecturer in Dance & Life Skills at East Surrey College, Assistant Manager at Star Steppers, and resident actor/dancer for Theatre Exchange, Susy began her theatre career at the age of five and continues to perform, write and direct regularly, in addition to her theatre projects.

Professional performing work includes the UK No.1 tour of Dinnerladies when she also understudied Coronation Street’s Shobna Gulati, Mother Goose at Greenwich Theatre, The Tempest Shakespeare Festival tour, A Christmas Carol with Theatre Exchange, appearing as a barmaid on ITV in IBM’s adverts for the Rugby World Cup, and BA adverts for 2012 Olympics, as a pregnant yummy mummy in Channel 4’s Top Boy Series 2, and starring in The Nutcracker at the ARC Caterham in 2013.
